Travel Guide and Travel Report Gran Canaria
Gran Canaria is the most popular holiday island of all Canarian Islands par excellence. Every year, several millions of tourists fly to Gran Canaria in order to take a sunbath, to bath in the sea and in the evenings up to late in the night. The big sand beaches in the south of the island are world famous and all a holiday worthwhile. In the south of the island, despite the mass tourism it is possible to enjoy the beach without crowds; this is what makes the holiday of Gran Canaria so pleasant.
Most of the tourists are taken in big buses to their hotel accommodation, spend there one or two weeks and then return by the same way. Only a few view the island and this is a pity, as n Gran Canaria haeach and sea. We have circumnavigated and explored the island, have seen some fascinating canyons, different landscapes of gravel deserts up to densely leafed forests and meadows, have seen the most different places, form the tourist resort up to some undiscovered, totally isolated small mountain village and could even look up to Tenerife.
On the following pages, we describe the sightseeings of Gran Canaria that we have seen on our tours through the island. Have good fun with our online travel guide about the island Gran Canaria.
